MTT Shipping’s Director of Operations Appointed to China Classification Society (CCS) Advisory Committee

MTT Shipping Sdn. Bhd. proudly congratulates Mr. Lee Kong Siong, Director of Operations, on his appointment as an Honoured Member of the Advisory Committee of the China Classification Society (CCS) for a period of three years.

Held on 28 October 2025, the inaugural meeting of the CCS Singapore Advisory Committee marked a key milestone in regional maritime collaboration. The meeting, officiated by Mr. Cai Yi, Party Secretary of CCS, brought together over 20 representatives from major shipping enterprises and industry associations across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The establishment of the Advisory Committee signifies CCS’s commitment to strengthen international cooperation and advancement of the green and smart transformation of the global shipping industry. 

Mr. Lee’s appointment is a reflection of his vast experience and deep expertise spanning more than three decades in vessel operations, logistics, and maritime management. Since co-founding MTT Shipping in 2010, Mr. Lee has been instrumental in shaping the Group’s operational excellence—from managing vessel and service route operations to ensuring technical efficiency and port coordination across Malaysia. His career began in 1989 with Green Peninsula Agencies Sdn Bhd, and over the years he has steadily built an esteemed reputation for operational precision and leadership within the maritime sector. 

His appointment to the CCS Advisory Committee is a testament to the recognition of his professional contributions and the value of Malaysian maritime expertise on the international stage. MTT Shipping is confident that his extensive knowledge and hands-on experience will greatly benefit the CCS Society, the Committee, and its members as they continue their pursuit of excellence and innovation in the global shipping industry.
