MTT Shipping Sdn. Bhd. and PETRONAS Chemicals Marketing (Labuan) Ltd. (PCML), the marketing arm of PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad, have renewed our long-standing collaboration for the provision of feeder vessel and barge services, marking another key milestone in our partnership that first began in 2019.

The contract was signed by Mr. Ooi Lean Hin, Managing Director of MTT Shipping Sdn. Bhd. and En. Hisham Mohamad, Head of Supply and Distribution at PCML. The signing ceremony was witnessed by senior management members from both organisations, as well as members of PCML’s team and MTT Shipping’s business divisions.
MTT Shipping has been supporting PCML’s domestic logistics requirements for the past six years, through reliable feeder vessel operations connecting Westport–Pengerang, Pengerang–Westport, as well as Pasir Gudang–Pengerang and vice versa. The renewal reflects PCML’s continued confidence in MTT Shipping’s operational capabilities, performance consistency, and adherence to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

As one of Malaysia’s leading feeder operators, MTT Shipping has continued to demonstrate the capacity to accommodate PCML’s evolving logistics needs — an achievement made
possible through strong coordination, dedicated service, and an unwavering commitment to safety and compliance. Operating as a feeder partner to a major petrochemical player is no small feat, yet MTT Shipping’s proven track record and operational excellence have enabled seamless cargo movement between key ports across Peninsular Malaysia. “As part of that ongoing commitment, we have continued to enhance our fleet to better serve PCML’s requirements. This year, PCML had the opportunity to experience our newly delivered vessels, including MTT Xu May, MTT Reya, MTT Perawang, and MTT Sibu — all built with short-sea specifications to improve efficiency, optimise cargo handling, and ensure safer, more reliable operations across regional routes,” said Mr. Ooi Lean Hin, Managing Director of MTT Shipping Sdn. Bhd.

This continued partnership stands as a testament to the trust, synergy, and shared vision between both organisations — driving Malaysia’s maritime logistics sector forward and contributing to a more connected and resilient petrochemical supply chain.
