MTT’s Next Chapter Begins :Laying the Foundation for Malaysia’s Future in Logistics

Updated: 3 days ago

MTT Shipping has officially broken ground on its first Integrated Freight Facility (IFF) in Pulau Indah, Selangor, marking a major step in the company’s continued growth and infrastructure development.

This strategic facility is designed to enhance connectivity between Peninsular and East Malaysia—supporting operations in Kota Kinabalu, Bintulu, and Kuching—and will serve as a cornerstone in establishing a unified national logistics network.

Spanning 13 acres, the development will include a container depot and dedicated auto logistics yard. More than a logistics hub, the IFF represents MTT Shipping’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and long-term service enhancement.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Dato' Seri Kenny Ong, Group Executive Chairman of MTT Shipping, remarked:“Today marks more than the beginning of a construction project. It is the beginning of a bold new chapter in MTT Shipping’s journey—one that reflects not just our growth but our ambition to lead, connect, and innovate.
Dato' Seri further adds on "None of this would be possible without the dedication, passion, and perseverance of our people. Every team member, every idea, every effort has brought us to this exciting moment. Let’s take pride in how far we’ve come—and even more in where we are going."

The company extends its appreciation to its dedicated team and looks forward to a safe and successful construction journey ahead.
