Penang experienced scheduled water supply interruptions (SWSI) that affected a total of 341,708 residents across all five districts in the state. This disruption was due to a necessary 16-hour partial shutdown of the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant (WTP), enabling Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) to carry out 23 vital water works projects throughout the region.
To support the community during this period, MTT Shipping stepped up once again, deploying 74 Gajah Flexitank containers, each equipped to deliver clean, treated water to affected areas across Penang. Beyond logistics, the presence of our beloved Gajah mascot brought smiles and excitement to local communities as it made its way through Penang, serving as a joyful reminder of the power of togetherness and community spirit.
At MTT Shipping, we are delighted to have played a crucial role along with PBAPP, Priority Synergy Sdn. Bhd. and United Bulk Logistics in delivering essential water resources during both emergency and planned disruptions. Our Gajah Flexitanks stands as a testament to our commitment to efficient, community-first solutions.
Thank you for your ongoing trust and partnership!
