MTT Shipping has been actively mobilizing Food Bank projects since last August, covering several states across East and Peninsular Malaysia including Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, Sabah, and Sarawak.
The company would like to express our sincerest appreciation to the participating charity organisations who have greatly assisted in the distribution of packages, namely Food Aid Foundation, Hope Place Association, 4X4 Bintulu Club, 4X4 Sibu Club and Penang Community Care.
As of October 2021, the Company has successfully delivered 1,810 packages consisting of daily necessities such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, sugar, salt, canned sardines, toothpaste and shower cream amongst others to the impacted families nationwide. This is equivalent to 9,050kg of rice, 32,400 eggs, 3,620kg of cooking oil and 814kg of salt.
The company has now reached 20% of its target of food bank donations, and will continue mobilizing substantial relief efforts in the local communities to provide helping hands for the families in need during these challenging times.
